26 October - 30th Sunday in Ordinary Time

H

onor the Lord with your wealth, with first fruits and all your produce. Then will your barns be filled with grain, with new wine your vats will overflow.” (Prov. 3:9,10)

Stewardship is based on the spiritual principles of the Old Testament and the teaching of Jesus. Where it has been implemented, both givers’ and receivers’ lives have been changed.

12 October - 28th Sunday in Ordinary Time

“Whoever wishes to be great among you will be your servant; whoever wishes to be first among you will be the slave of of all.” (Mark 10:43a, 44)

In a life committed to Stewardship, we are called to “possess lightly.” Jesus taught about the danger of clutching to material possessions, as a way to be first and pointed to the real treasures available to us in a disciple’s life.
